But before I get to that, I think it is important to thank both the Rev. Rod Burton from St John's Methodist Church, where we performed on the 22nd, and the Rev. Mike McCoy of St. Hugh's Anglican Church, where we performed today. The warm welcome we received will not easily be forgotten. We really enjoyed both performances and hope to see you again in future!
While Rev. Mike was introducing the choir, and the format of the morning's service, he mentioned the works the ECCC would be performing. Amongst these were Psalm 150 in Afrikaans, Laudate Dominum (Mozart) in Latin, three parts of the Missa Criolla (Ramirez) in Spanish, Psalm 123 in German, and The Lord's Prayer (Fanshawe) in English! Where else would a South African child's ear get exposure to so many different languages?
